A Pumpkin Experiment (Class Photographer - Noah!)

We learned all about pumpkins this week to gear up for our fun field trip to the pumpkin patch!

We did a little experiment -- here was our question and hypothesis:

First, Mrs. Mathes cut a hole in the top of the pumpkin. We left all of the pulp and seeds inside.

Next, we scooped soil into the pumpkin.

Then, we watered the soil.

We put the pumpkin near a window and observe daily. Our hypothesis is that a pumpkin plant will sprout. We will have to wait patiently and see!

Noah, our classroom photographer, took these pictures!

ooh - I like this one :) I do a pumpkin day each year with my students. I might have to add this one to the list! :)
