During our last week of school before the holiday break, our class did some Random Acts of Kindness.
On Monday, we made cards for 2 very special people in our school -- Mrs. Brackey and Mr. Sass.
On Tuesday, we drew encouraging notes to the 2nd grade classes and while they were at PE and Music, we cleaned their desks, left the notes and put a little Hershey's kiss on each student's desk.
On Wednesday, we made Christmas cards for residents at an area nursing home. We were told that they residents LOVED the cards and just knowing that someone was thinking about them.
On Wednesday, we also made snowflakes for the new Sandy Hook school in Connecticut. The CT PTA organization was organizing an effort to collect snowflakes from all over to turn the new school into a "winter wonderland" when students return to their school after break. Just one small way that made us feel like we were somehow helping those precious children.
